Moosehaven was delighted to welcome children from Mooseheart Child City & School for a week-long visit. Boys from the Antoinette Marinello Home brought a wave of joy and youthful energy.
They were greeted with a welcome party, took a tour, and enjoyed the amenities on campus including visiting the train room, painting ceramics, watching movies, playing bingo, and attending services in the chapel.
They enjoyed several excursions including trips to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, a trampoline park, and a beach day with the Jacksonville Beach Lodge. On Monday the boys visited Camp Blanding for swimming, a scavenger hunt, and picnic lunch. The day ended at Lakeshore Lodge #2020 where the members provided dinner and games. On Tuesday the boys spent the afternoon at Mandarin Lodge #42 for a pool party and lunch.
Having the Mooseheart children visit our Moosehaven residents represents what our great fraternity does best – providing for our children and our seniors!
