Moosehaven was thrilled to welcome Bob Scallan, passionate history teacher, former administrator, and dedicated member of the Historical Society of Orange Park, for a presentation to residents on “Heroes, Legends, Histories and Mysteries of Clay County.”
Bob’s deep love for history, especially the rich heritage of Orange Park, inspired him to establish Orange Park History Tours. These one-hour tours journey through the heart of Orange Park, guiding visitors back to 1877, when the town’s first three streets were laid, orange trees were planted, and the sounds of steamboat whistles echoed through the air.
