It’s the season of giving and you have the very gift that someone else needs – you! Giving has a reciprocal effect, the benefits are mutual. Be mindful of this when you come in contact with a resident or coworker who may be struggling with feelings of sadness or loneliness, and brighten their day with something you have – a smile, a touch and a listening ear.
From Home to home, and heart to heart, from one place to another.
The warmth and joy of Christmas, brings us closer to each other.
Emily Matthews
I realize some of you, like many of our residents, are distant from your families and it may be difficult to get into the Christmas spirit. At this time of year, it is most apparent that Moosehaven is a family! Staff and residents working and living together to make our City of Contentment a home. Thank you for opening your hearts wide to encompass those around you!
We know that this past year was full of challenges, but in the midst of the difficulty, don’t lose sight of our many accomplishments. I commend each of you for doing your part in keeping our residents safe!
“Whatever else be lost among the years,
Let us keep Christmas still a shining thing:
Whatever doubts assail us, or what fears,
Let us hold close one day,
remembering its poignant meaning for the hearts of men.
Let us get back our childlike faith again. “
Grace Noll Crowell
May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace, the gladness of Christmas give you hope, the warmth of Christmas grant you love and may the New Year be filled with hope and prosperity.
It’s just me….Simply Helen
